License Agreement
This End User License Agreement (“Agreement”) is between the individual or legal entity that installs or uses the SQLlightspeed software and its plugins, updates and documentation (together, the “Software”) (“User”) and DBO Bilgi Teknolojileri (“DBO”), Koşuyolu Mahallesi, Salih Omurtak Sokak No:78, Kadıköy, İstanbul, Türkiye. By installing or using the Software you accept this Agreement. If you do not accept it, do not install or use the Software. The Turkish version of this Agreement prevails in case of any discrepancy.
1. License grant
As long as you comply with this Agreement, DBO grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable right to use the Software for your internal business purposes.
- Trial: every installation starts with a free 30-day trial with all features.
- Subscription: after the trial, use continues with a monthly or yearly subscription. One license may be used on one computer. A license can be moved to another computer by releasing it from within the application.
- Plugins: plugins marked alpha or beta (e.g. LightspeedTune) are provided for evaluation and may change or be withdrawn.
2. Restrictions
Except where the law expressly allows it, you may not:
- copy, distribute, rent, lend, sell or let third parties use the Software;
- reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the Software (rights granted by mandatory law for interoperability are reserved);
- circumvent, disable or modify the license and trial controls;
- remove copyright, trademark or proprietary notices.
3. Intellectual property
The Software is licensed, not sold. All intellectual and industrial property rights in the Software belong to DBO or its licensors. This Agreement grants you no rights other than those expressly stated.
4. Fees, invoicing and refunds
- Current prices are on the pricing page. Orders are handled by e-mail; DBO sends an invoice and a license key.
- A subscription is valid until the end of the paid period. A subscription that is not renewed ends at the end of the period.
- Fees paid are non-refundable except where refunds are required by law. Mandatory consumer rights, where applicable, are not affected.
5. Your databases and data
The Software connects to your databases with the connection details you enter and with your own database privileges. You are responsible for the statements you run, the changes you make and your backup and recovery processes. The warnings and confirmations the Software provides (e.g. the production banner, confirmation of destructive statements) are aids; they do not replace careful work and backups. Suggestions from tools such as LightspeedTune are informational; it is up to you to review them before applying.
6. Third-party components
The Software includes open-source components under their own licenses (e.g. Tauri, React, Monaco Editor, node-oracledb, Node.js); those license terms apply to them. Oracle is a registered trademark of Oracle Corporation; the Software is not affiliated with Oracle.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The Software is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DBO makes no express or implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, error-free or uninterrupted operation, and non-infringement. Features marked alpha or beta may be incomplete or faulty.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, DBO is not liable for any damages arising from the use of or inability to use the Software, including loss or corruption of data, loss of profit, business interruption and indirect damages. DBO's total liability under this Agreement is limited to the amount the User paid DBO for the Software in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limitations do not apply to liability for intent or gross negligence (Turkish Code of Obligations art. 115) or to other liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Updates and support
The Software may connect to our update server to check for new versions. DBO is not obliged to provide updates or support; any updates provided are subject to this Agreement. Support requests can be sent to info@dbo.com.tr.
10. Termination
Your license ends without notice if you breach this Agreement. On termination you must stop using the Software. Your connection definitions, worksheets and settings stored on your computer are not deleted.
11. Personal data
How your personal data is processed is described in the Privacy Policy.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. The courts and enforcement offices of İstanbul Anadolu have jurisdiction. Where the User is a consumer, the right to apply to consumer arbitration committees and consumer courts is reserved.
13. Changes
DBO may update this Agreement. The current version is published on this page with its effective date. Continuing to use the Software after a change means you accept the current version.
